stephen_g, no need to convince me on the cybersyncs- I have seen your work which is a lot of the reason I am wanting them to begin with lol I will see what I can get out of my Dlites and hopefully it's enough to cover my new "strobist" setup(damn cult!) and cybersyncs.
b_ron, I like to shoot outdoors and with wider apertures <f/4 so being able to crank the shutter speed up to reduce the ambient light is very valuable to me. This is the same principal as using a ND filter only you're not losing any light just changing settings to get thin DOF.


I like to shoot things...sometimes with a camera!

there's like noo wear at all around the shutter button (most 1D have that wear around that circular edge)

You don't have to spend much on flashes etc. I use Nikon SB's (24 and 28) and a Canon 540EZ, though I like the SB-28 the most.

There's a pretty beat up 1d at a local consignment shop for $285. I bet I could talk him down to $250 but I don't wanna go through w/ the shutter replacement. Maybe...
