I'll be getting mine on Saturday! I have a trade in the works and I can't wait to fire off some shoots.

If you ever want to see some pictures of a unit before orderring just drop me an email: HelenO@adorama.com (external link)

BTW you have a 30-day returns period included in the 90-day warranty, so if you aren't happy with the cosmetic appearance you can simply return it!

Wait did things change?

I emailed you about a 1D Mark II in January and guy in charge told me that they couldn't do it because the units move too fast and require too much effort to open and take picture of them.

Helen got me in touch with the used department people last year. They sent me great photos of the exact camera I wanted to see, and I called and purchased it over the phone while the sales rep was holding that exact camera in his hands describing it in more detail. This was one year ago. I doubt anything has changed since.

You emailed me? Or the standard CS email address?

I finally have my hands on another one of these bad boys. Can't wait to go shooting.

The 4MP files are a lot smaller (and sharper) than I remember. I guess I've gotten used to the 5D's 12mp raws.

Good times.

Yeah. I emailed you and you let the person in charge know. Then I got an email from you saying that it's time consuming to unpack the units and take pictures of them.

My new 1D seems to underexpose by about a stop and a half when used with my 430EX in ETTL. I'm spot metering, tied to focus point, using FEL most of the time. Metering flash exposure at +2/3 or +1 like I typically do on someone's face, and the resulting image comes out underexposed.

The same process works fine with my other ETTL flash; a Sunpak RD2000.

Anything I'm missing? I've had two other 1Ds in the past that never had this issue. Maybe the batteries in my 430EX are dying? haha. Some custom function I forgot about?

Otherwise, man it's nice to have one of these again.

My 1D and 430EX does the exact same thing. I don't mind using flash exposure compensation though.

btw.. what bodies have you been using between 1Ds?
