I have just bought some more Glass for my EOS1D Classic, an EF24-85 f3.5-4.5 USM. There's a Thread dedicated to this Lens which has some good Photo's on it, though it's no "L" so it's best not to get too carried away!

The 24-85 will work well with the 1.3x crop wide open, you'll be pleased.

I've got the 1D classic and the 24-85. Not the greatest combo, but not a bad combo either. I'm on the thread for the 24-85 mostly with my 5D (since I bought the 24-85 for the wide angle on full frame), and I enjoy the lens and will use it on my 1D when appropriate.

I had this lens for my 400D and EOS-1 and it gave very satisfactory results, gave it to my daughter for her 450D when I got the 28-135is and then 24-70L. Good build quality ,sharp ,and fast auto focus ,enjoy.

Nice Shot! Would love to get a 1D Classic someday soon, been watching them on ebay last few weeks. One went for 351$ the other day. I want one for sports activities and such. Keep my 10D for portraits and non-action shots.

Loving the 1d classic. Great body use it all the time. The files are very clean and easy to use being so small.

Shot some with the Sigma 100-300 and my Sigma 400 5.6. If not noted, they are shot with the 100-300mm.

Let me know what you think.
