Just received my 1D classic from N210s. Let me first say that the camera was in wonderful condition. I fell in love with it after the first shot I took, the sound of the shutter, the way it feels in the hand. The only thing is it is a lot heavier than my T2i, but feels much better in the hand. Here are a couple pics I took using a Sigma 70-300 at f/5.6 1/500 iso400 at 300mm.

A while since I have posted so here is a couple from Christmas day , was hard to focus with all the bubbles ,what should I have aimed at here ?
Oh yeah I think Father Christmas bought the Lego factory seems like every second gift was Lego, so now poor old grandad Steve remembers what it was like going to the bathroom in the middle of the night and walking on this stuff with bare feet
Both pics taken with speedlite 550 and EF 70-210 at f5.6

Hi Steveod,
I like your Photo with the focus on the Bubbles. If you had focused on the Eyes as for a conventional Portrait then there would probably have been just an indistinct blur in the foreground, which would have looked rather like the results of a mucky Sensor. That would have spoiled the point of the Shot in my opinion.

Bad news with my 1Dc, I have dropped it ! While I was preparing to take a Shot I had cleaned the Lens & placed the Camera back in the Camera Bag on my Car Passenger Seat. My Tripod was on the Back Seat with the zip to the passenger side, so I went round to the passenger side, got the QR Plate off the Tripod & opened the front passenger door to get the Camera. Unfortunately my Camera Bag was lent on the Door so my 1D fell out! It doesn't work anymore :(.
I am absolutely gutted as my 1Dc has given me 2 years of outstanding service.

I have treat myself to a 1D MkII as a replacement. This may not be the end of my 1Dc, it is at a Repair Shop to see if it can be fixed for sensible money. If it can be fixed I will keep it as a 2nd Body. Time (& the Repair Shop) will tell.

Here is the last Shot I took with my 1Dc before I dropped it.
