It's not too bad. Figure that camera is 10 to 11 years old, that's less than 15k shots per year. Working pros can put on a LOT more than that in short order.

That's still about 12k less than mine had when I bought it, and mine looked like it had been through the wringer, too. Now that 1D2's are no longer Canon-supported, the prices have tanked and they've started to draw the 1D prices with them. This is a great time to get into one of these cameras.

Hey snowboarder61, I don't see here if you have another body, so I was wondering if the 17-50mm works on the 1dc without vignetting??

Some bodies, some lenses, and that's all I'll list in case the wife sees this. ;)

It was my primary lens when i also had my 40D, and did work very well on my 1D but had vignetting... Sample below at 17mm but tapered off the closer you got to 50mm...

Scored this one today while working with a few kids from my group. This was something like 20 minutes after the refinery exploded in Richmond, CA.

Picking up a Canon 1D Classic today to have a piece of history for $300. It will serve me as a casual street shooting body and a training camera for my youngest daughter who is 12 y/o :)

I figured sometimes having large files from my 7D and 5DM3 raw files for casual shots for internet purposes is way too much and just filling up my hard drives lol! I only shoot RAW.

This 1D Classic comes with the original box and all accessories and two batteries. One of the batteries are a new replacement with exact specs. Owner says he gets around 700 captures in a single charge even with an IS lens. 67,000 clicks on an excellent rated body.

Kinda looking forward to "playing" with it :) I looked at the full resolution images on my 30 inch 2560x1600 monitor and they look great.

Plus it will keep my daughter from playing with my Gig gear and she thinks of her older sister's Canon Rebel XSi feels like a toy... she's a hoot  She's just spoiled after seeing the 61 AF points on my 5DM3.

Comments?

OH, QUESTION. CF CARDS, WHAT KIND WORK BEST? IT COMES WITH A 4GB CF CARD.

I have a couple Sandisk Extreme III, Sandisk Ultra II and a Kingston. All seem to work fine for me personally. Any of those would be fine, unless you're doing a lot of constant burst rates, then you might wanna invest in some faster cards.

Good to know. My 18-50mm Sigma vignettes as well, but I think more than that IIRC.

Would any of my current CF cards work?
