Will a 28-90 from a T2 work on an XT?

My friend has a Rebel T2 Film camera with it's kit lens, 28-90mm f4-5.6. She wants to get a Rebel XT.
Will the 28-90 fit on the XT?

Rebel T2 is an EF mount camera, so the lenses will fit fine. The field of view will be different since your XT has a smaller capture area with the APS-C sensor size.

Due to the 1.6 CF body of the XT, the actual FOV will be 45mm-144mm?
That will save her some $$ of having to get an XT kit. She'll be able to just get the body only.
