best wishes
John

Great choice of cars & it looks like a pretty good job! You did take some without direct light & models, right?

Cheers Frank
Yes I have quite few shots of the car under flash lighting /ambient and outdoors also , It was a terrific experience so I documented a lot of it from the time we had the car valeted to lights out , I have to say the Lotus was amazing and I was lucky to find it and even luckier the owner let me shoot it just to get some shots of the car for himself.
I made a few stupid mistakes lighting the car and had some aweful reflections from the ceiling, but it was great fun , hope to do it again soon but maybe in a better studio and without a model , there was so much to do on the day I didnt get as muc time with the car as I would have liked.
My car is no slouch but that Esprit is a rocket ship , I followed him down the lanes from the valeters to the studio and it corners so flat its incredible.
regards
John

For those interestd heres a rough shot of the Lotus sitting in the infinity cove , as you can see the cove is not quite finished yet as its waiting to be built right up to the ceiling and this will cut out most of the unwanted reflections in the cars.

Nice but the background seems a bit bright to me  and the model on the right looks like julia roberts in pretty woman

Hi Mark
Yes the background was never going to be to everyones taste , but from conception this shot was always going to be completely blown 255 , I was kindof aiming for a film add look .There are a lot more shots though and some with a more tone down background suit the car better , make it look like its sitting in a big garage setting. The model on the right is the same as the model on the left, but yes she did a great job of getting outfits together to resemble those from the pretty woman film.
Thanks for commenting :D

It looks like it will be a good product stage, but it's way too small compared to what we have here. You managed to use the right wall to good advantage instead of a flat, but being tucked into the corner like that would have me muttering to myself all day! :D

The model on the right is the same as the model on the left

I wondered about that. Excellent PS work! You saved yourself a couple thousand dollars of lab work. ;)

haha Frank , isnt everything bigger in the states , this was quite a large studio and what you see there was about 20% of the internal space , the owner has various other sets as well as the infinty curve , I do aggree though and wished it had been a touch bigger.
I really appreciate the comments on my PP work as its always been my weekpoint.
mny thanks
John

Great pics you got there.

Nice play on the pretty woman theme also (I believe that is the model and color of Lotus that he picked her up in).

Does the car go underwater as well?

:p

Thanks for the comments Dan
The car is identical to the one in the film except for a rear spoiler and different front spoiler/bumper , the one in the film has some extra vents , considering there are very few of these in the right year/colour I was very fortunate to be lent this one , not sure if it goes underwater but it sure can certainly move.
