Here are a couple of our baby. She'll be 10 this year and she has taken the place of our children (sort of) after they left and started families of their own. When we first had her of course, the rules were:

"No Dogs on the Furniture"!!! LOL.. That lasted about 5 minutes.

She loves her stuffed toys, knows them all and has her favourites. This one is "Rudy" as in "Rudolf the red nosed reindeer" and the one that she drags around the most right now.

Thanks for looking,

Nice Images...

She looks great. Labs are super dogs. Is she of the English variety. They are usually a bit shorter and stockier than the American show variety.

Our daughter has a lab that is just a super dog. She is buff colored also and was the runt of her litter.

She's absolutely gorgeous! Would you mind offering some pointers for photographing pets indoors? I have 2 boxers that I love photographing, but 99% of the shots I get from inside are trashed because they come out to dark or discolored. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong! :( I currently use an XTi.

She's beautiful! What's her name?

My wife wants a Yellow Lab to go with our two Chocolates. I think we have our hands full with the two. One of them is celebrating her second birthday today and the other will be three in April.

Our dogs are our kids too. We spoil them rotten as well.

Cheers, Shayne

No dogs on the couch ?

Yep, we had the same rule. Now he generally lets us use the couch. If it doesn't interfer with his nap, of course ! < smile >

I only hope he doesn't learn how to use the recliner.

She is extremely beautiful, and looks great for her age.

Absolutely loves stuffed animals also, but he cant have them a lot. Because he goes for the stuffing. He loves to rip them apart and eat the fluff. So he usually gets one for Christmas and he gets to destroy it then, thanks for posting. I laughed when reading the title.

Thanks for all the kind comments. Her name is Kyla, named by my daughter.

She is very good with the stuffed toys and doesn't rip them up at all. She licks them and does play with them and we play fetch with her with them indoors but never tug-of-war.:lol:

Mandy: I use an external Sigma 500 DG ST flash with a diffuser on it, bounced. I also use flash exposure compensation, taking several shots and adjusting the flash until the histogram looks good.

This was taken with the nifty fifty, although the kit lens works just fine indoors with a flash.

Thirdly this was shot in RAW, cropped and adjusted in CS2 (1 stop exposure boost). It looked fine on my crt monitor but seems to be almost overexposed on my wifes laptop. Oh well.

Unless you have a really fast lens, you are going to have to use an external flash indoors. I find that the on-camera is not that useful except for emergency situations where i don't have anything else.

Hope that this helps some.
