I have been going through a lot of photos of our daughter...she has the sweetest little disposition! :D

Here is one we really liked:

Full frame crop with the 50mm 1.4. What a great lens!

Great looking kid and great photo.

what is a "full frame crop". I'm not familiar with that terminology? is is just the photo straight out of the camera?

Thanks!

You know...I may have just made that up, on the fly. Sounds like an oxymoron.

Seems like in digital we think of a crop as something less than the full frame.

But when you think about it, even full frame is a crop of what the lens actually sees (the image circle)...so who knows.

Complicating this is that we think of the 30D as having a "crop factor" from the "full frame" equivalent of 35mm...

What I meant was "right out of the camera" as you so correctly surmised! :)

Sorry for creating a 'circle of confusion'! ;)

Thanks for the comments!

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks so much! Everytime I put that lens on the camera, my first thought is..."why did I ever take this off?" It's a fun lens to shoot with. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

She's a beauty! Love how her eyes pop. The 50 f/1.4 is definitely a great prime to have. Keep on shooting!

Thank you! I opted for the 50 f/1.4 over the kit lens back when I got the camera...and haven't looked back!

Thanks!

Mike
