I know I have alot to learn with settings on this camera. I just recentely got the Sigma wide angle lens 10-20 for one of my first lens and wanted to try it out and here are the results. The camera setting I played with were simply with the shutter speeds but I know I can get better results. I definately welcome any C&C and that is why I am here but anyways here are the results.

The famous Bridge

Although I like the shots I do feel a little like overall they are kinda redish but maybe a setting on my camera was incorrect.

I rather like them... I'd love that lens; it's on my list but dratted economics keep getting in the way :D

Anyway, I had a play with the colour balance in Photoshop Elemens. I called up the "Levels" control, and clicked the middle of the three eyedroppers. That one allows you to tell the computer "I know that this was a neutral, grey shade. Make all the compensations you need to make it look grey on the photo".

This is what I came up with...

^^ Looks great thanks for the edit on that shot. The hardest pic was the city hall building as I kept getting the colors wrong but after playing with the settings I finally got it to work.

Pretty good shots overall.

I particularly like the golden glow of the stripes below the Bay Bridge.

For the Golden Gate Bridge, you went under the bridge right? I think you could have done a different angle. The time of day was perfect in shot #4.

As for your last shot, something must've been wrong with the white balance, because you probably took the red-ish color from the Golden Gate Bridge, and thus making everything appear red at the time.

Overall, a nice collection of pictures, I like the trees shot and the city hall.

Thanks Jeremy I spent a good amount of time on the city hall shot. It was rather nerve racking to take that picture since it was a state building. I even went as far as asking a SF police officer if I could take some photos of the building. I was concerned since a wile back I was held in Long Beach since I was taking pictures near the harbor. Harbor patrol gave me a long lecture about the dangers after 9-11 so for this shot I wanted to be sure I was good to shoot pictures.
