lol!! you switched??? you traitor :p j/k

I didn't like aperture :| probably cos the powermac was crusty :|

You're a crusty powermac :p. Don't worry Lightroom is still installed. So I can still tell you how to use the thing Mr "I dunno how to change my portrait crop to a landscape crop".

I also switched for more reason than "It was made by Apple" :p. Aperture runs so much faster since version 2 came out.

You caffeine addict. You probably drank most of your caffeine during your gaming weekends.

I use to drink coffee most mornings before uni started. I blame the city for having a lot of cafes on the way to QUT. But now I'm a tea man. TEA FTW!!!

LMAO! :D

Great idea - might do that too.

And (considering this is a photog site) ponder what lens to get next (after the 100 macro)

a default?

there's CR Kennedy in SA (I think) which is the AU authorised distro and repairer. If you buy a local stock one, then you can send it there for warranty. If Grey or out of warranty, then you can send it there but it'll cost.

If you buy from B&H or Adorama i think you are fine to send it there also, i made the mistake of buying my sigma lenses from DigitalRev so i have to pay to get them claibrated or repaired.

Also, anyone watching "the spring" on 7 now? some weird fountain of youth movie which has me glued to the screen. If the intermittent rain would buzz off i would take a trip to cedar creek but doesn't look like that will happen.

I was thinking zoominess - keen to get a 10-22, and would need to fil the gap between that and the 70-200 which I have already.....

Or should I not bother about filling the entire gap and get a coupla primes.....

David don't ask Feng, you will get a totally biased viewpoint ;-)a

My walkabout lens is 24-70 2.8L which is nice, albeit a bit of a weight to lug around.

I only bought that lens coz I listened to some caffeine addict called Feng, oh hangabout, I just told you not to listen to him yet I did - sigh :p

LOL! :D it's 'manual' zoom... press button, twist, pull off, put on new lens... you've zoomed from 35mm to 135 :D

Alas I have been sucked in by Feng's advice and, sadly, actually take on board most of what he says because (whispers) it usually makes sense.

Then he comes out with a "buy two instead of one" statement, and I wonder....... ;);)

here is something for the bond ... a very roughly tracked single exposure of the Orion Nebula taken a couple of weekends ago.

Oooh pretty !

Hmmph. We tried to organise a car club run to their place.

Me, bitter? Never! :p

Our club has also attempted a visit on a couple of occasions, but nothing came of it. Difficult people for sure.

Do any of you guys own the Sigma 10-20mm lens?

Yep - no issues with it at all :)

Oh wow, I actually made it to the end of the thread. :D
