Both 52", both fullHD 100Hz LCDs.

:-| Hopefully that conveys my feelings appropriately. That's not a TV, it's a movie cinema! Do you get an usher with the TV, too?

42" isn't that mammoth - fits nicely in a city apartment... :D:rolleyes:;)

42" is well and truly big enough for a TV I think! :p

Not really. The Sony is supposed to have the same panel, but the processing unit in the Sony is supposed to be better.

OK, so prolly comes down to price. Less expensive TV = DVD recorder to go with it - bonus! And surely tax deductible?? ;)

I was very happy that the house I bought had a HD projector built into the roof. So my movie viewing area is approx 60 x 120 inches.

And my wife has wanted me to save her from remotehell for a long time. The answer turned out to be the Logitech Harmony 525. Macro programmable remote that does it all, even the home theatre AV system. Can't speak highly enough about it and it was on special at Tricky dicks recently for $75.

Nice.

We had a programmable remote, worked with all components (before we moved and "had" to get a new TV) - it even worked the X10 lighting I installed. Great fun. One button turned TV to DVD channel, DVD on, open door, dim lights, and action!

True - any bigger and eye strain would kick in!

Most definitely, hence needing it before the end of March.

So I guess if everyone is off to bed, we won't add 200 pages for spammy to wake up to. Bit of a shame really :D

I'm outta here too. Bye.
