Ok

No venue suggested yet - it's a long, slow process. I believe it is likely to be in and around the CBD area.

We could start at Customs House/Riverside and then figure things out as we go?

Oh I know of a nice apartment close by there where we could start off for drinks and photogs :)

I think I've just convinced someone to join BCG based on the Pullenvale shots on my Flickr. :|

Well there goes my potential post-count... Got a call from my ex-boss this arvo while at the pool with the boys (swimming lessons), and now I have a 6 week contract in the city starting tomorrow.
The things that pop up when you're not looking... alas, computer work not photographic work, still it's money I can spend on photographic stuff :)

Quick thoughts - Optus Fusion?

$99 per month for ADSL2, 20 GB download limit rate limited if you use it all, line rental, all local & std calls included.

We have iPrimus atm, around $110 per month, but calls are paid for separately & we have 12 GB of downloads. Plus it's just standard ADSL, so slower. I probably know the answer already, but...

Anyone know of any better value deals around? Or should I just sign on the bottom line when they come back later?

Thanks guys!

Ruth.

We are paying $89.95 a month for our ADSL2+ with TPG. 50gb downloads and it gets shaped to 256k each way if we go over. Thats not including any calls though.

You can get a similar one with them that is the same except for that it gets shaped to 64k each way which is $59.95. You can get that plan with VOIP for the same price too.

NOOOOOO - please NOOOOOO

we were going to join them, signed up in October for them to take over the whole company - by earlier december they had done nothing, then it all got very nasty

long story, but TIO took it all over and got us out of the contract.

The business was without ADSL for 2 months as Optus "tried" to connect it but only took over lines and did nothing else in their computers

I'm personally not a fan of Optus, they're barely better than Telstra. However, you might want to check out the plan search on Whirlpool - bc.whirlpool.net.au

Or the forums there, esp. the Optus one, to see what people are saying.

I hope the trains are running properly tomorrow... BTW, have they changed over to the new ticketing system yet ?

Congrats :D

Somewhat more complicated than that - we all got the arse back in Nov (company moved off-shore), so my ex-Boss is working somewhere else now, and a contract position came up in Brisbane so he gave me a call.

The Go Cards (smart cards)? They have introduced them, but they wont be replacing the paper tickets. They are still very much in use.

Ahhh okay. Still, good to be going back there for a bit?

Ah, fair enough. I haven't done the public transport thing since about Sept. last year.

Well the income will be nice - I'm hoping this counts as a "job" with the Mrs, since there was a deal when I got my redundancy that I could buy camera kit when I got the next job...
