Wouldn't help keep the bank manager at bay, though!

Oh so true

Hey - if Sam can do it, why can't I?

Heh, you have much to learn young one ;)

It works best on camera gear and then you start working on the computer stuff...

Monday afternoon outing huh? I will likely be about 900 KM north on my bike by that time of the day. My luck is holding I see. Going to Mackay to shoot my niece's wedding on Easter Saturday.

Pullenvale - I ventured out to the World Famous Caboolture Camera Club meeting last night. My first time there; I was curious to see what my closest camera club was like. Got to talking with some of ther ladies there and they mentioned that 4 of them went to the Pullenvale event. Sounds like it was a hoot. Nice images Rob!

Post processing. I'm not much chop with that since most of my time is spent on B&W film and printing by hand. Sounds like at least some of you do a lot of PP. Maybe I should learn more about it one of these days.

Still amazed and impressed with the macros shots. Bugs are so fascinating, especially when shot so well...

Well, it would - the limited choice of after market software would fix that!

I must admit though, the new Macbook Air is pretty sexy

Pretty dodgy though. From what i have heard, the pricey solid state hdd one is pretty much a lemon...

Your right, it is a rumor. I have spent countless hours on the 360 playing games and have never had even the slightest hint of burn in. I did baby the screen for the 200 hours burn in period though.

If you want to see it with the pc plugged in you can come and check it out if you want. I have the 507XDA

LCD is better for brighter areas. Not so good with things like some sports, even on full HD. We're 42" LCD, bro in law is 42" plasma. Plasma is better for fast moving viewing.

Lappy is good on both the LCD's tho - 42" and 32" in bedroom

That's great - and read the comments below and note the spelling of cigarette from one response...... scary.

I just watched the Mythbuster episode where they remove safety mechanisms from a water heater, then crank it up. The final shot of the heater blasting thru a house, thru the roof and almost into orbit was outstanding - the high speed shot of the side of the house disintegrating was spectacular.
