Ahhh... i was wondering why you were after so many hours ;)

Thought of labouring? There were a bunch of people putting up help wanted posters for that at uni the other day. Flexible hours and good pay.

That's actually what I'm looking at now.. Just a bit tentative applying! :o I should probably just get over myself and do it. I'd really like a boring old warehouse position over a building/construction job I think, but beggars can't be choosers.

/Searching job ads.

Seriously, I just want 40 hrs/week at ~$20/hour please. Willing to do anything. Hire me? :(

Andrew, ring around a couple of the water tank places - they are needing tank installers esp ones that are available the hours you are talking.

Urban Tanks are the biggest i think.

I've got a friend who is a teacher and his moonlighting for a tank delivery crowd on Saturdays - seems to do quite well.

Oh, that's harsh......

But to aid my recovery I just spent an hour and a half at Merlo with my boss, talking 08/09 budgets. Worked a treat - coupla coffees did the trick!

I'm a harsh man ;-)a

But I agree, two shots will make any budget seem possible. ;):)

I wouldn't go that far...

Rough around the edges, but not harsh ;) :p

Actually the two shots worked wonders for my somewhat muggy head - the budget was no problem!

our experienced contractprs get $xxx/hr of which their parent company takes 90%

usually a lot depends on what experience you have. can you dive CAD, do you have any experience inthe Electricity supply industry.

is that an evasion???;)

You managed to talk to a "real" person??

In our debacle with them I ended up on hold for 90 minutes, then when I got through the person asked how I got that number is they don't talk to end users only their dealers.

Good on you, glad to hear of someone having a positive experience with Optus ;)

On another note - I see another rumour has surfaced that Telstra are advertising for software developers for the iPhone project.

Sigh, hope this doesn't mean that they are going to get the rights to it here in Aus :(
