Hardly think a p!ssy little wall will stop us getting to what is arguably the best coffee in Brisbane.

it was voted best in Sydney (hence why I was so excited when I had tried it there and then it opened in Brissie!!!). i'll definitely walk around, have one, then get a take away, and walk through their shops etc with the take away cup... then drive the car i parked in their car park home.... all while sipping the take out cup.

When you pry it out of my cold dead hands.

I wanted to steal your 135mm or 35mm the other weekend for a wedding but I coped with the 50/16-35. Have another wedding this weekend at bribie and we get golf buggies!

Also selling on OCAU - what is the deal if say you have only posted on the board once or twice? not worth it? neeeeeeeed to get rid of this 30mm.

You can borrow them any time maam.

OCAU... worth a shot... ;)

Honestly Al, the paperwork wasn't that bad. Australian Customs are well and truly used to handling it and process it all very quickly.

Thanks Paul for clarifying that ... it is very useful information ...

Got it ordered with UPS ... I think I could not be bothered go back and forward to the post office ... a bit time wasting ... I think the savings could cover the fee a bit :D ... still detest it ... 50 bucks !!! Anyway, am over it !!! ;)

Have more questions here :D if you are not bored already with newbie questions ? :D

How important are extended warranties .... Genuine Australian Canon. How much are they worth actually for two years extra ??? From experience (hopefully none of you have), how much do Canon charge on average for common, frequent issues ?

How much memory do you really need ? Seven gigs enough for an outing ? I know for travelling, probably we need one of those picture viewer thingy, if we do not want to carry laptop everywhere ...

Thanks in advance ... :D

Cheers

Peace always ... Alexson

Queensland Rail has made photography on their stations an act of terrorism...

Oh and a bit of a thread on OCAU (external link) is forming about it.

Since I have taken quite a few pictures on the platform and all, I have turned into a terrorist ???:confused:

DD is around that price too. Plus, with ordering from one of those, you will get faster shipping than from the states.

That is true. Longer shipping time would actually help me cos I still need to finish a few things hhehehe :D

It becomes a distraction while I have not made up my mind. Since I have, I can concentrate on tasks on had now. I actually plan to make any purchases much later but ...

*feeling pretty pleased with himself*

Just did mental check - have doubled my lens ownership in about 72 hours. ;-)a

Still cogitating over 100-400..

Don't tempt me !!!

I may not be that strong !!! :D

I have a friend in Sydney who shoots birds and bats on Canon glass.

He also shoots street stuff on Leica. And MF on a Linhof Technica. We know good images when we see them.

He bought the 100-400L and both our jaws hit the ground. Awesome. Superb. Sublime.

Do not hesitate.
Do not wait.
If you shoot Canon and want reach - You Buy Now !!!

Simple.

True - simple, although I'm waiting for donations.......

On that note, I'm off for a coffee - Merlo Private, ristretto

Mmmm, winter in Melb - I actually quite love it, prefer winters down there more than the Brisbane ones tbh.

Yeah, it's good, I've picked everything up quiet quickly, and the regional manager loves me and she brought the CEO to highpoint to meet me  so hopefully once I'm in my own studio I can live up to expectatios.....no pressure or anything

I prefer to not have winters and just an eternal summer.
