I just redid the developing of the Pullenvale shoot photos using LR beta. I have to say it's sooo much better than DPP, and is now on my list of things to buy. :D

Now to do skin smoothing and then email them to the models... but that can wait 'til I get home from uni. :)

yeah but i'm not a fan of 'standard' chargers... i use maha chargers... one portable 'quick' charger, and one battery conditioner. they're both smart enough to know when the batteries are full.

+1 for the Maha chargers - fantastic things :)

on that note... another one of jessica...

Awwww :)

Asian kids on a whole are super cute, though. Especially Japanese school kids in their little sailor uniforms  The little girl in the family I stayed with in Japan was just the funniest little thing.

I agree with you. Soooo cute over there, especially when they are dressed for speical events.

These two were taken at Kamakura, where there is a large Shrine. Each year there is a special day where the kids are dressed in traditional robes and taken to the Shrine for a blessing. IIRC it's at ages 3 & 7...

Not hard to guess where she is from. The headless guy and the lipstick unsettle me a little though.

I had a little 4 cell charger that did nimh and nicad, but gave it to Flav's Aunt with the old Canon powershot. The only other one i had did nicad only, so got one from Dicks that covered both, showed progress etc, but is still a trickle charge/discharge. I'd read that fast charging was detrimental to the batteries but maybe this is not the case??

Have been buying more higher (around 2000-2300) milliamp'ed AA and AAA to replace the older nicad things that are about 100 ma!!

Will move to the eneloops though, I like the idea of a slow discharge rate. Nothing worse than a dead rechargable that's been in storage.

So, it's not gone un-noticed that greg and John have changed their respective avatars in the past week or so, but John's also changed his under-name phrase. Gone is the pussy comment (Mrs Slocombe) and in its' place a more topical statement.....

Learning logs for assessment are bad. I would be alright with a normal 3000 word essay, but this has to be full of personal reflection on the course. That means using a lot of "I"s and "we"s which doesnt seem right in an assignment...

Yes, as far as I know, it's still the case that fast charging reduces battery life.

I love my eneloops (well as much as one can have any form of affection towards a battery).
