So, it's not gone un-noticed that greg and John have changed their respective avatars in the past week or so, but John's also changed his under-name phrase. Gone is the pussy comment (Mrs Slocombe) and in its' place a more topical statement.....

I like to change mine every so often. Keep things fresh;)

Yes, as far as I know, it's still the case that fast charging reduces battery life.

I love my eneloops (well as much as one can have any form of affection towards a battery).

Either way, still cheaper than buying regular disposables which, admittedly, we've strayed back to.

I'd never heard of them, but considering the number of batteries we use around the house, they make sense. And price wise they're similar to the orange DSE ones I bought a little while ago.

I can understand your affection - after all, they power your favourite "appliances" ;):p

Keeps us on our toes, too!

So what are your plans for Friday ANZAC day?

We're up for the 4.28am service, then back to bed, then off again for the march in City at 10am.

I'll head in early morning I think 7-8am so I don't have hassle with street closures when I park at work.

I'd love to go to the dawn service but think I'll be a bit crowded.

Learning logs for assessment are bad. I would be alright with a normal 3000 word essay, but this has to be full of personal reflection on the course. That means using a lot of "I"s and "we"s which doesnt seem right in an assignment...

Ahhh reflective writing, I did some of that when I did my 12 month course at CQU last year, I got a pretty good mark from what I recall.

I'm planning on going to the midnight service as I did last year and still umming and ahhing about dawn/march. Work is doing a bbq/beers after the dawn service before the march but I think I could better spend the day packing up my room. - The midnight service is good, nice small and really easy to find parking :)

Gosh, your tax deductibility will be without question now :)

Weddings, shudder, as you know I was supposed to shoot one in NZ next month but i pulled out of it months ago - was getting too stressed over it. I'm happier in a studio where it's more controlled I've decided.

But they are soooooo fun!!!!! I've been having a ball the past few weekends with weddings.

Our third and final piece of assessment for this subject is another learning log but focusing on a different type of planning. At least with that one i will have a good idea on how the whole thing is supposed to be written and presented.

Nice Queen of the Night tulips - my wife's faves. Had them at our wedding, too.

The guys in the Tuppertub thread shoot Tulips all the time. Each weekend it seems they are visiting a local Tulip farm and getting these stunning shots.

I'm trying to convince myself about the dawn service...........

My local (Samford) service and march is at the very respectable time of 8:15am, so I'll be attending that one. :)

I don't think I'll make the trek to the city for the dawn service, too much hassle getting parking, etc.

yeah - 4.28am is a little unsociable, but we've not been before. Wife's uncle marches each year and we've always watched the "Piggies" on TV. Since we now live right where the march will be, figured we shoul djoin in and be part of it.

We're still sorting out parking, tho - couple of rellies coming into town and suspect parking will be a challenge. We've only got one park space for the apartment.
