Got my 10-17 today, too wet to play with it outside at lunch so I snapped off a few shots around the office. Some neat effects, I took a shot of the ceiling tiles and it looks like a sphere.

To crappy to post, just neat with the curvature. I might get to the local park tomorrow. It's quite amazing how close you get to things and still have a lot in the frame.

"Sellers can no longer leave negative or neutral Feedback for buyers.
Buyers should leave honest Feedback without the fear of receiving negative or neutral ratings"

I think therefore, I don't actually have a problem beyond the normal less-than-perfect 400D AF system. I'll re-run the tests on the weekend with Johnno's 5D just to compare.

Excuses, excuses... you just want to use it. ;)

Pfft... no way. Still have 400 something posts to go. Give it a week or a week and a half.

Oh and Ive just been playing with Adobe Illustrator. First time ive used it in a loooong time. Fiddling around making watermarks, a heck of a lot easier than in photoshop.

Ahh, the old back-focussing problem. It's usually caused by having an inappropriate lens attached to the body. Most likely it would be one you purchased recently. I'd just write it off as a poor choice - just bad luck really.

But I'm prepared to help you out - I'm prepared to give you up to $1,000 for this lens which, TBH, is a great deal, considering the problems it's caused you since you got it.

Think about it. You know it's the right thing to do....

:p
;)

Seriouslah - have you used the focus card to test it? I think it's a case, assuming BF is the issue, of sending it to one of the local providers (couple of names were tossed around 2-3 days ago in the thread IIRC) to look at.

Hey Dave, if you do need to send the 400D away, I'll lend you mine if you like.

I've been keen to get a fisheye and have been lookin at the 10-17 Pentax (good price ish) hope to see some of your pics soon :)
