how much did you charge Dave?

Not enough (after having a bit of a web search).

I quoted $50 for a single photo on a CD (no prints).

From what I've seen around (now that I've had time to look), the going price would seem to be $95 - $150. Oh well, gotta start somewhere.

nice birdy Dave, nice colours and nice and sharp.

Thanks :) Made sitting in the wet grass all that time worthwhile ;-)a

Interesting:

Japanese imaging and optical specialist Canon Inc. has this week unveiled its new Rebel XS (EOS 1000D) digital single-lens reflex camera, which the company is positioning as an entry-level DSLR offering that will slot into its product portfolio beneath the existing 450D model.

Yep, and a 430ex Mk II as well.

The 1000D is obviously a move against the Nikon D60. It's an odd set of features though - being basically a 400D with less focal points, SD instead of CF and the addition of Live View. Looks like Ted's will be selling it with the 18-55 (non-IS) for a titch over $1k which is still too dear for an entry level dSLR (given you can get a 400D for about $800 with kit lens these days, new).

They are just guessing so they have a price on their site. Canon hasnt even put a figure on the camera yet...

Oh, and in case anyone's interested, the World Press Photo Exhibition (external link) started today at the Powerhouse. Free entry, on until 30th June.

New Farm Park meet, anyone?

My sis in law did some promotion for them a few months ago, IIRC, when they first came out.

I'm all recovered, but it sounds like Sam & Pete can't make it either, so I guess there'll be no creek jaunt tomorrowCorrection: Prev. Information seems to have been incorrect. (Gives me a chance to make this place presentable for clients)

Sunday 22nd works for me. Or this Sunday 15th - I'm working a night duty, but can be out during the day.

Anyone else?

Just a recommendation here for ACCURATE INSTRUMENT SERVICING on the north side, who were able to repair my 24-70 in less than half the time that canon said it would take them, and did it under warranty to boot. they also do a same day sensor clean too if you want to get it done professionally And if you're reading this, thanks very much Peter.
