So boys, apart from being ripped off with coffee and being banned from spurious groups how was your first day @ our institutions of higher learning??

Actually, John, it was pretty good :) My Criminal Law subject looks like it is going to be both interesting and quite involved, which is nice, and the first of my IR subjects that I had today is also looking good as it has a fair bit of a Modern History ring to it, which is something I loved at school but have missed since then. Admin Law looks okay, too, but due to the LLB re-structure that has just happened, the subject is full of 2nd, 3rd and 5th years, meaning that the lecturer is already having a hard time giving enough background Constitutional Law stuff to the 2nd and 3rd years without boring the 5th years (who have already done Constitutional Law) too much - it's a delicate balance and I hope he nails it soon or we'll be in trouble! :o

Thanks for asking

Did anyone notice the people using the new "Go Cards" on trains and buses today? Mx reported a bunch of problems that people were having with them, but at least they didnt kill the whole ticket machine network when they turned the system on this morning

Dunno, dunno and dunno

At this point I have said Wednesday through Friday - but to meet a commitment in Newcastle on the Saturday that means I would have to drive through the night on Friday - so I may move it to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

I don't know where 'exactly' I'll be yet - some power company, I believe.

I'll stay wherever they put me - that's the current stumbling block - they want 3 days but are baulking at my daily rate with travel and hotels on top. I pointed out that I usually only do 2 days a week on average and am breaking a 'rule' for them and there is no discount on daily rate - so we'll see what happens.

I'll have to read this tomorrow morning... I'm a bit pickled... :o

Wasnt too bad. Met some pretty cool people and found out we get little RF swipe cards that get us into places the other students cant go.

LOL, sounds like the year might be good for you both.... this will be something to be asked again nearer Christmas ;)

And to think both of you can now buy Academic versions of your fave Photo Processing software
