These were taken today at pagham harbour. I had taken no photos or seen anything interesting before these guys turned up.

nice series. my fav is #5. these shots remind me that I always want longer glass...

Thanks, its nice having 600mm but my 350d struggles at the best of times to focus.

I see something else there in that first shot. Nice capture on the owls, I never see owls. Darn it....steve

Nice Series! You never know what your going to see when you go out to shoot!
Flight 4&5 are nice! Love the eyes in 5!

Nice series Liam.....I like the last shot the best but am really impressed with the three very different birds all together in that first shot.

Thanks guys, all day had not been able to get close to anything then two herons, two SEO and an egret appear I chose to shoot the owl and I am glad I did.

Nice shooting Liam....good capture of the pair in # 4 and the eyes are great in # 5.

I saw and photographed my first one of these guys just a couple of weeks ago.

I know I hadn't even seen a heron on the day before hand and then they all turn up. The fact that less than 30 seconds earlier I had been leaning on that fence annoyed me even more :rolleyes:
