This may be old news, but it looks like Canon has discontinued the EOS 3. I was looking at their 2008 Catalog (see here (external link)) and noticed it wasn't in there. They still show is on their US Site, but its not on any of the overseas sites. No huge surprise I guess, its a 10 year old camera, but a little sad to see it go.

Maybe they'll think about reducing the price of the 1V now... It's still $1649 at B&H. (external link)

10 years old maybe, but my 30D cannot touch my Eos-3 in several areas. I used both again today and the 3 showed me again what I'd lost.

I'd love Canon to reintroduce the Eye Control feature, although it did not work for everyone it was perfect for me.

I like the eye control too. Works very well for me.

They stopped producing new ones, but some may be new in boxes on shelves. This was announced last year. I have one and it's a great camera.

It hasnt been listed for some time. I dont remember when, and it was not in B&H's catalog last year.

I sure wished there was a FF digital version of the EOS 3. I really like mine. But I'm gonna have to settle for an EOS 5D

I love eye-control AF, it's crazy cool. The first time I tried it on my Elan IIe I was like 'WTF no way!'

I have the EOS 3 and the 1v. Digital (1D Mark II and G9) is great and I enjoy it every day, but growing up with the FTb then the EOS 650, I still frequently feel the need to expose some film!

I don't recall seeing the EOS 3 listed at B&H in quite some time. Think they only had the 1v, Elan 7NE, and a couple of film Rebels when I first started looking at film bodies last year.
