How do I get my 430EX to not switch off automatically?

I replaced the batteries in my 430ex but it keep turning itself on, turns out I put them in backwards.............​..

I did the same thing with a macro lens once. Made my camera look bigger.

Well, at least we all have a reminder or two -- Perry has taught us that once in a while we should change the batteries and LR has taught us that at some point we should RTFM...these guys deserve all the accolades we can muster -- may their threads be bountiful!
