I received my new Canon 17-40f/4L lens today, It just doesn't seen very sharp.
I would like to do a lens test tomorrow to get a better idea where I stand with this new lens.
Is there a post that explains the process?
Do I test at 17mm and 40mm and or all in between?
Thanks for any help.

you should test at all focal lengths, and at all apetures.

check out what i did with my 50, you can definitely see the difference between apetures.
