with the following tests, i am completely satisfied, the lens is doing what it is supposed to do, slightly soft at f1.4, intensely sharp at f2.8 and smaller. the focus appears to be spot on. it seems that i have a clinical lens, nothing out of the ordinary.

all pics are clickable, no sharpening was added:

Looks fine, though horribly underexposed test shots.

Now get out and shoot some real stuff! :D

Looks good to me.

To be honest its a bit pointless posting lowres web images to check IQ.

The focus tests seem to show accurate focus so now its time to take it into the real world ;)

Everything is underexposed. Though I can understand the trouble with shooting inside, I can't test my lenses inside either.

sorry about the exposure, didnt care too much about it at the time, it looks like i had my camera set to -1/3EV; damn jog wheel. and i kind of missed my photography window, the sun went down and i dont feel like bringing out my tripod.

so i took some pictures of flowers in my house, hopefully the exposure will be more pleasing :P

all handheld again, keep in mind i just took these to show bokeh. artistic value was not considered at the time, however later in the week i will post some into the archives and into here. the focusing is not as fast as an 85 f1.8, or a 16-35 f2.8L, but it is still quick, and mostly quiet.
