Does anyone use this, and if so how do you like it. I have never printed my own stuff but with the current rebates it has made me consider it. I use A custom print shop (WHCC) how would you compare the quality?
THanks

Have made about fifty 8.5x11 sized prints and a couple of 13x19s. Print quality has been uniformly outstanding. The photo magenta ink seems to run out the quickest, but was able to hop over to Office Depot and grab a replacement easily. I love it. Shawn McHorse - Shawn.McHorse.com

All the reviews I have read concering this printer, professional and amateur have given it nothing but VERY VERY high remarks! I have been researching this printer for over a year and I have not found any negatives except the paper feeder slide wich even the reveiwer stated he said just becasue he couldn't find anything negative to say. With the rebate offer this the BEST printer for the money and I am very happy with the looks and the results from the two photos that I have printed.

I didn't bother with the printer because: - I read that the ink they use is not the "newer" kind which lasts longer - It's still cheaper to go to my local printer and I never need prints instantly Regarding the inks, they're dyes and not pigments. Two different animals for two different uses. The dyes are going to be brighter as well as having jetter blacks.. etc. As a rule, they're not as weatherable as pigments but that isn't always the case. The red used in your taillight lens of your car for example.. you don't see that fading away do you? John

I'm using Ilford Gallerie Smooth Pearl paper with good results. I have not tried this but from what I hear the 9500 prints incredible B&W on fine art paper. Have not printed any B&W on the 9000. Dan

DCBBPhotography Cream of the Crop More info | Jul 12, 2009 11:22 | #11 I've printed B&W on the 9000 and they won't hold up to 9500 prints. The 9500 has more technicle ability in this area in covering the shades of gray. That's not to say the 9000 prints do not look good, although I think it does better with gray scale printing vs. printing gray with all available inks with respect to color tone. John

Jul 12, 2009 12:46 | #12 have had one for about a year, replaced my older i960. Incredible printer once you understand the software (a little complicated with Photoshop, but easy with Lightroom).

Jul 12, 2009 18:48 | #13 I've had mine for about 1 year, got it last year during rebate time. I love being able to print up to 13x19. But I'm partial to Canon printers, I've had a Canon ever since my first computer 11 years ago. Everyday use: 7D2, 1.4x v3 Canon TC (sometimes the 2x v2 Canon TC), Canon 500mm f4 L IS USM; 6D, 24-105L
