Picked up a 5D and some new lenses recently, this is the first show I have shot with the new gear.

I was wishing either a) they had less red back-lighting or b) I had stolen my 50 1.8 back from the wife (who has the 20D to shoot with now).

These were all with the 16-35 f/2.8L USM II and available light.

I would not have used number 3 as it is a little dark to see anything clearly. The 5D is pretty nice for gigs eh?

I picked up one a few weeks ago and loving its performace so far.

Digi: the lighting was horrid! Either red floods or the rear spots were directly in the lens, I really hate that venue!

Burrelly: thanks for the comments, the 5d is pretty sweet, will be even better once I get some 1.8 or faster glass. #3 I put up mainly for the shadow and set list, I debated whether or not to post it, being as dark as it was, but I kind of like it.

I like #2. #1 would have been very nice if a stop (or 2?) better exposed.
How were you metering/exposing? What ISO?

Looking at the lighting, f/2.8 should have been enough...

Very crisp and clean but just a lil too dark for me though, sorry.

Cheers

James....
