Here's a shot in the dark. I have a podcast that I have produced in Garageband, uploaded to .Mac with iWeb, and I'm having issues with the multi-media files not being listed on my RSS feed.
Is anyone knowledgeable of these things and willing to help me out? Right now, the podcast is here and can be viewed onlinet:
http://web.mac.com/dmwierz1/Site/Welcome.html![]()
or
http://www.sportsphotographycast.com![]()
However, here is what one gets when they try to subscribe via the iTunes Music store:
![]() | HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/gif' |
And here is what I believe is my RSS feed:
![]() | HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/gif' |
When you click on what appears to be the multimedia files in the above screen, you get this message:
![]() | HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/gif' |
Now I did all this within Garageband, iWeb and .Mac, so I have no idea what the source code looks like, where the RSS feed URL came from, or how to change what is obviously an error, nor honestly do I care to know any of this. I just want to hit the "Post podcast to iTunes" button and have it work. Obviously the multi-media files don't reside where the RSS feed thinks they should, but they DO reside on the podcast page.
Anyone wanna help me out here? Apple is being INCREDIBLY cryptic and un-helpful in all this. Their "help" consisted of telling me to "Add ___ XML tag" to the RSS feed - that means absolutely nothing to me. I don't know how to get to the source code for my pages, don't know how to "add" an XML tag to anything or even to which page I should add it, and even if I did, I don't know what to do with the file once I did this.
I tried to resubmit the podcast, and of course was told a podcast already exists at this RSS feed. I tried to cancel and pull the podcast and start over and it wouldn't let me do this either, so I'm stuck.
I think part of the issue may be the fact that somewhere in putting this together I use a personal domain (sportsphotographycast.com) rather than the complete .Mac URL, but I'll be doggone if I know when I did this or how to change it.
Anyone understand this stuff well enough to help out?
Thanks in advance,
Dennis
