I have been wanting to try this for a long time, and after seeing Semmonka's thread a few hours ago I decided to go for it. I like what I got, but wish the glass was less in focus in some of them. I took over 200 photos - getting a shot with the drop at just the right spot requires a lot of patience, I learned!

After reading the thread I also wanted to give it a shot. But I am at work :) So that wasn't possible. You did a good job. Can I ask what you are using as your backgrounds?

Thanks :) I just used different colored papers. The one with three different colors is just the papers stacked on top of each other. All of these were taken in my kitchen sink, too, haha. And actually ... the pink paper got so wet that it bled in the sink and I had to scrub to get it off, so watch out for that! Once I saw that I put a towel behind the papers to finish shooting.

Very wonderful captures. I just bought a glass plate and a black plate today to help emphasize the background and to customize the color of the water. It's shots like yours that make me want to pull the equipment out and go sleepless for a night.

Nice pics! The water really starts looking like melted glass. Very cool.
My favorites are # 2 and 7
You may want to move the BG little bit further next time. That way the
splashing water dont get it all wet :)

Thanks! Yeah, unfortunately, these were taken in the sink and the cup had to be very close to the bg. I want to try it set up differently next time.

haha, well it's easy when you have it sitting on a tripod with a cable release attached. I just leaned back on the counter, tapped my foot to the beat of the water drop, and would press the button every second or two :p Thanks!
