I've had this lens for a few months now with my XTi.
I figured (after newbie researching) that it is much better than the kit lens, so I upgraded on purchase...
I'm quite ok with this lens, but now that I got the nifty fifty and the lensbaby 2, I feel that it overlaps the focal range and that I can benefit much more from something wide.
I live in a city and most of my shots will be urban and indoor lounges / homes.
I am seriously considering trading it for something wide... Tokina 10-17 or even canon 10-22... Heck I feel even a wide prime would be ok. I feel the 17-85 is a waste considering how little I use the upper end zoom range.
Do you guys think I should keep it or sell it; I haven't made up my mind yet and would appreciate your opinions as I am spending lots of time on photography yet I am relatively new.
