Do you have a picture of your pet playing a "sport" or working? Whether it's running, jumping, chasing, herding, hunting, agility.....or whatever...please share a pic here.

I'll get things started with my dog Luke. He's an Aussie and like most Aussies, he has a very strong "work" drive. One of his various jobs is cathing the Frisbees that fly around our back yard. It's somewhat comical to watch him because he takes the game so seriously....his focus is totally on the "job" at hand...In fact, I think he would chase those Frisbees until he fell over from exhaustion if I let him.

My two Chocolate Labs learning to catch a big ball. Callie is the first and Faith is the second. Callie definitely jumps higher, and has more style than Faith. They both catch frisbees too.

Cheers, Shayne

LOL...nice pics...I can't say that I've ever seen a dog chasing a ball that big. :)

Oh, this is a neat idea for a thread. I've got a few from a Schutzhund seminar that a friend of mine (Kazee) and I went to earlier this year. These are quite amazing dogs.

I've got a few equine athletes as well - these are some dressage horses from a recent show. The second is a familiar client of mine, and a very unique horse, rescued from the racetrack and learning to do high level dressage.

Great pics Jessica :) The dogs are great but your horse pics are absolutely beautiful. Great story on that second horse.....it's always nice to hear a story of a rescued animal excelling after others have wrote him off. Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks. He's a really amazing horse. I am glad that his story had a happy ending, because so many times, they don't. He is so talented too, which goes to show you that fancy breeding isn't always anything (though I'm sure he had fancy breeding for an entirely different purpose).

I wanted to give this topic another chance...We got off to a good start but it fizzled out. I know that there have got to be more of you guys/gals that have nice action pics of your pets engaged in some type of sporting or working activity. Please share your pics :) I'll go ahead and put up a pic of my other dog running through the snow....I know, not much of a sport but other than chasing squirrels, that's what she does :)

I just posted these in another thread looking for some feedback. I know I've posted in this thread already but instead of catching a ball, here they are playing keep-away. :D

Cheers, Shayne

Again, not exactly a sport, and definately not the best pic of her, but this is Bailey my Border Collie chasing a squirrell. Yes, I realize she is looking up-this is after she has successfully treed it and is now following it throught the tree branches! I think I have the only dog in town that when you take her for a walk, she walks around looking up in the trees!

LOL....great pic. One of my dogs is absolutely obsessed with squirrels. When I let her out in the backyard, the first thing she does is run out and look through the trees. On walks in our local park, her main goal is to find and chase squirrels. She won't fetch, chase a ball, or catch a frisbee but she'll chase squirrels.

Welcome to POTN! It's great to see another frisbee dog :) My only suggestion would be to bump up the exposure a bit to really show off the whites.
