I see a lot of fascination with some duck or ducks in many of the threads in this forum. What is it about this duck that has everyone so immersed in it's distribution?

Can someone explain?

They are goofy looking and sound funny. ;)

I've been trying to find some history on "What the Duck" strip, but there is not much on the site,.
I am convinced that he was influenced by the POTN Duck Post phenomena, and that the POTN fascination predate the strip... but have no actual proof of this.

Duck shots are pedestrian. Ducks are the easiest birding shots you can take with lenses of 200mm length and less. Hell, a goose will let you take a wide angle close-up. Try THAT with a warbler.

Hmmm guess POTN is on crack then. Ducks, Fairies, Nifty and a choo choo or two with the ducks being more elusive and mysterious then the rest.

The duck is a sacred tradition of the order. Do not question it.

I think I'd criticize a duck long before the beloved elusive T.F.

Probably since I've been spared his wrath. You had me worried about my 430, but then I changed the batteries and all is right with the world!
