Awe, thank you! I love animals, but this is my dad's cat. I have a little Jack Russell that unfortunately, loves to go after cats. :(
Otherwise I would take her in a minute. :D

Nice shot!
I'm afraid of prime lenses because I think I'm going to be either too close or too far and miss a shot, was this the case at all for you at the show? I'm assuming they were on runways, do you move around a lot, or do you just take the shots from one spot? I know this is kind of a stupid/newb question, but I just don't 'get' primes.

Ironically, I was the only idiot with a long prime... Hhahahhhaa... 99% of the other photogs were using both Nikon/Canon versions of the 70-200 f/2.8 lenses...

With regards to runway shooting, it's all about "location location location in the photographer's pit... Unfortunately I came a little bit late so I had to shoot from the side... Not too bad, considering that I could still overlook the seated guests and capture a full body shot as the models came in-and-out from the back... But dead center viewpoint is the desired spot... The models have a 'mark', just about 20-25 feet in front of us, where they pivot left/right and pose for a few seconds before turning around and heading back from which they came...

You can walk around, I guess, but the area was packed with standing room only... And if you leave your post, it's unlikely that you can get back to it... Another photog will snag it immediately, I guarantee it... Anyhoo... Thanks for asking... I hope that answered your question... I'll be posting more captures each day...

:D

I'm surprised they've even survived, what with all the ice, snow, wind and rain of late
