Are you planning on photgraphing the lunar eclipse tonight (February 20,2008}

How do you do it? Have you any good photos from past eclipses?

I am going to give it a try, but stay close to home because of below zero (F) temps.

Someone on another forum I post wrote a great writeup HERE (external link) on how to shoot the eclipse. I wish I had my camera and a nice lens to shoot it with but unfortunately I just ordered my camera yesterday.

Good luck shooting this and I hope to see some awesome pictures! :)

Tapeman,
I might and I might not, as its so darn cold here brrr..... probably about 0F when it happens and windy :(

Tripod and mirror lockup are usually needed and a long lens comes in handy :)

I got one of the eclipses in 2004 with my 10D and my 1200mm telescope

I'm going to try with my 300mm and a 1.4x TC here in souther Ontario. The weather forecast is clear skies but a windchill temperature of -20 deg C (-5 deg F). Why in February?!?
