Okay, so my first POST (made a few replies out and about). An odd first for me, considering that I'm a 21 y/o Equine Photographer, and I'm posting photos of a friends Vette first as opposed to my usual. C&C is (always) welcome.

The first is my most favorite of the series, and we lost light REALLY fast. It was an impromptu shoot :D But I'll get a chance to do more with this car later, perhaps in the spring at the track.

Thanks! It's a pretty sweet car. Though not as sweet as my Trans Am ;)

Yea, it wasn't actually my idea to pop the hood - my boyfriend was chatting things up with the owner, and they were digging around under the hood. I had to get them out of the shot, but by the time I went to revisit the same shot with the hood down, the light was crap. But I liked the location a lot, and will probably do a retake with the car there.

Thanks for looking guys!

Good start here! 1 of 1000? Someone should get fired over the fit of that hood? ;)

but by the time I went to revisit the same shot with the hood down, the light was crap.

Nice to have someone else here who can "See" that.

A friend of mine here shoots horses, too. I tell him I don't do just one horsepower. :D

Haha, thanks for the welcome. I'm here for the long stay. I may be a girl AND an equine photographer, but I have always always always had a big thing for cars. I just adore this gallery, which is why it was the very first place I braved posting pictures.

Me and my baby :)

[GIFS ARE NOT RENDERED IN QUOTES]

I really like the pictures, minus the hood up, but first thing I noticed was the ill fitting hood also. Maybe it is because I am a car guy.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks! Yea, I never noticed the hood on the Admiral, but on the Devil (Trans Am)...she has a small amount of lateral body flex. We've got the subframe connectors, but just haven't installed them yet. She had a nasty tangle with a whitetail earlier this year (gutted that SOB with her pop-up headlight), and is on a temporary hiatus.

Start Sarcasm

It's ok. It is a corvette. That is 100% normal.

/sarcasm

:)

When I worked at Fall-Line Motorsports in Chicago. BMW/Porsche Race shop there was one customer that raced that body style Corvette in the American Iron series I believe. What a huge pain to work on.

I do like some of the pictures though of the vette. Just swap in a BMW M3 and it would be perfect! Sorry I had to.

The BMW's have never really done all that much for me, but I got to drive an M3 once, and it was a lot of fun.

Now, if you'd like to swap the BMW M3 in for me, I'd love to do a photoshoot with it! :D

And you are NOT KIDDING about huge pain to work on. Those engine bays are flippin' cramped. Just changing the spark plugs on an LT-1 is a royal PAIN IN THE ARSE.

Oh how beautiful! Quarter? He is magnificent.

I shoot my horses with the 70-300 usually.

I love my Nikon dearly, but sometimes, I wish I had a Canon JUST so I could say "I like shoot things with my Canon." :D

Sure! You are in Athens. Come out to Road Atlanta March 8th and 9th. Free entry to the track for the BMW track event. Infield is open so you can get right on the fence!

PM me for more details. I will be there driving my race car on track!

The best color ever on a Vette. It could do without the mud flaps, though.
