I have a 30" Apple Cinema Display, and I am getting into more professional work, and wondering what the best calibrator for the money is. On the Apple ACD site, they recommend

ColorVision Spyder2 Suite (external link), PANTONE Monitor Calibrator (external link), or color calibration tools from X-Rite

Any suggestions?

I would also be using it on my 15" MacBook Pro, as long as I had it :)

30D w/Grip; 10Dw/Grip; 70-200 f/4 L; 17-40 f/4 L; Canon 50mm 1.8 II,; Tokina 10-17 f/3.5-4.5; 580EX, 430EX. lotsa' memory, lotsa' batteries. Macbook Pro 2.16 15" w/2 gigs RAM. Mac Pro 2.66 Quad w/5 gigs RAM. Adobe CS3/Lightroom

I use the Colorvision Spyder2Pro on my 30" Samsung 305T. Like the results I have gotten with it though I havent tried any others.

I am using a Spyder 3 Elite to calibrate my Cinema displays and both my macbook pros. I get very consistent results.

This gets debated a lot as there are some good and not so good products on the market. I've got an Eye One which I used as a starting point, then added to that a test print and disk from my commercial lab and then threw in a little more "tweaking." The results are prints that pretty well match what I see on screen. But it can be challenging.
