Hi All

To cut a long story short I finally got round to cloning my OS drives (dual boot here) this made sure I had space to burn for updating 'things'.

One of the things I needed to get done was uninstall the Canon software set from my 350D solutions CD (I only installed the ZB and EOS Utility, though other items got dropped in without the full install...???)

I have now installed all the 40D "set" (I said I now had lots of space) bar the Wireless software and the 'security' program. Firstly I am unlikely to buy the Wireless accessory unless the price plummets and I was unsure about the security program?

Right, I wanted to download all the updates but the UK/European site threw page not found! So I went off to USA site and got that lot ~ any differences between the USA and Euro set?

I now have the DPPv3.2 ; EOS Utility v2.2 ; Picture Style Editor v1.1 ; ZB EX v 6.0.1c ; PhotoStitch v3.1.20 & the up to date PTP WAIN driver v1.5 ready to install.

Has anyone identified any issues with the updates that I should need to be aware of? Also, with the ZB that came with the 350D I only ever used it for quick checks as I rely on Bridge for the sorting & initial culling but as Bridge is slow & if ZB has improved I may use it more but I note that the installation instructions for the updater say to "run" the convertor but based on my understanding this in my case should not be needed....so a little confused as to whether I need be concerned about the convertor running step.

Any thoughts and feedback about the updaters et al would be very welcome.

:)

The UK/European site is now back up and I note they have rather different file names compared to the USA site ones!!!

I suppose I should download the UK ones just in case there are regional differences that may 'come out'.
