Do they make a bag large enough to carry that over your shoulder? :D

I wish hard to write off a lens when I work on Exchange Servers, SQL Server and Cisco routers between 8am-6pm and nights on occasion when something breaks, heheh.

Guess my sidekick is not going to work. Think the guy who bought my 500mm is going to buy it. I think i need a new monopod also :) Wimberely Full and Gitzo 5540 I guess is next. :)

Thanks everyone glad to share my excitement with everyone. Headed to Daytona week after next for bike week and AMA bike race...

Surprised the box police haven't been around to tell you you're an idiot for accepting that. Look at those corners for cryin' out loud!

Wish I was so lucky to have a lens like that. Hell I'd settle for a 400. Enjoy it and be sure to post some shots!

Dang, the case for that thing is nearly $600!

I think we need to invent a new profession.... caddies for photographers -- analogous to golf caddies, who carry the bags, provide input on certain shots, etc.

I have to say...if my wife were ever 'surprised' by a $7000+ purchase, I'd be a dead man, and if I survived, I'd be an alive man sleeping on a couch for the foreseeable future. :)

At first glance, I thought the case was a printer. Nice surprise!
