The Stroboframe gizmos would mount to your Impact umbrella swivels in place of the shoes that are there now. The shoes are screwed onto a stud which is held captive in a 5/8" socket on the umbrella swivel. Remove the stud and standard shoe. Unscrew the standard shoe from the stud. Screw the Stroboframe shoe onto the stud. Replace the stud in the umbrella swivel's 5/8" socket. Mount your flash. Tighten the red clamping knob on the Stroboframe shoe. Relax. The 1/4 x 20 bolt/knob that comes with the Stroboframe isn't needed for your intended application. Put it in a safe place. You'll need it eventually, guaranteed.
