Hey guys.
Been having a problem with my camera recently as you can see with the attached photo im getting a red line in my photos.
Any idea's what this could be and what would be needed to fix it.

Could be sensor or maybe in the data bus. Tried taking a few test shots then with lens cap on. Doesn't matter what apeture or shutter speed is set its still there. ISO of above 320 results in that, below 320 results in a white dot appear on everything.

Don't know what that'll cost, but probably (depending on the camera, which you haven't mentioned) less than a replacement. Jon

ISO 100
ISO 3200 Its a 40D and should still be under warranty. Just like to get an idea of what im up against here.

Longwatcher obsolete as of this post 3,914 posts Likes: 3 Joined Sep 2002 Location: Newport News, VA, USA More info | Just guessing here, but I think you have a short in your sensor array at that point and at higher ISO's it is messing up the entire line when it dumps into the bin at the edge of the sensor - that is if I remember correctly how the sensor actually works.
