I don't think we've seen this before. If you have an iphone or other similar device, you know that it can act as a real time advertisement. When people find out that I am a photographer. I always have some pictures in my iphone that are from my portfolio. So I can sell myself on the spot.

So I thought that we could start a collection of iphone wallpapers. I would love to see this come from every "photo sharing" section.

The Iphone screen is 320x480 portrait. So keep that ratio. I think that 320x480 is fine. But you could go to 640x960 also. I made mine small to increase quality.

So lets start this off with one of my recent photos. This is not from my portfolio, but I think it would be good for this post.

Well, "spring" might be a bit optimistic. :) I'll admit I wasn't expecting to find flowers in bloom when I went out at lunch, but it was a nice surprise.

Oh, now those are fightin' words! :)

For proof, I present one of the bumble bees that was visiting the (not silk!) flowers:

Today is back to our usual cold, rainy weather, which is a bummer because I'm actually going to be off work early. I'll probably go shoot in the rain anyway, I just won't get as much as I would if it was warm and sunny out.

Ooh, I forgot about this one, too:

Nice - I can joke around because I am just a few hours south of you in Oregon - we are having the same weather :-(

Think of it to take a picture for the iphone. Since its 480x320 it make you think about composition. Things look different when you have to make your pictures that small. Mine is a crop of a landscape picture.

Hope you don't mind. But I thought it would be good to punch it up.

No, I don't mind. Do you mind telling me what you did, though? I don't have much editing experience, so to me it just looks "better" and I'd like to know how it got that way. Especially since I do have a few ideas for the full-size photo that will make the crop work better.

Just increase gamma and saturation a little.

More proof that spring-like weather can actually occur in Seattle. It's been so nice here the past few weeks, I just had to take advantage of the free rental of an XTi, 70-200 f/4, 100 f/2.8 macro, 18-55, and 430EX from the school.

These are also my first pics here on POTN. I'm kinda new to the whole DSLR thing.
