I need to get one of those because my current battery (Canon, in heavy use since 2006) gets about a 1,000 shots per charge. I am using IS on the 70-200 though and that EATS battery for breakfast, lunch, and dinner Alexander R.O.

canonloader Cream of the Crop More info | Oct 05, 2009 20:06 | #1955 I have been pleasanly surprised at how well they hold up. I mean, they were only about $40 each. I do take care of them right though. I did a refresh first, right out of the package and every other charge. They are holding up very well. Mitch- ____...^.^...____

If you shoot anything that moves the 5D does not cut it.... I can get similar Landscape etc shots from my 50D. I use a 17-35mm . For Wildlife the 5D is slow 3fps. The 50D has same size files, but speed ...the 1D MkII N is better.......This from my 50D ......I Can't Paint....So I Do This........

I bet! I was floored when he told me he got a brand new battery and was going to ship it to me later this week. I think he said it was a new Lithium Ion battery (?). I'm thinking more and more, I got a sweet deal on this 1d2!!! Eric

It couldn't be a Li-Ion? All 1-series except the two Mark III's use NiMH batteries.
