PureShadowed Member 40 posts Joined May 2010 More info | Just messed with the mirror (I know bad idea) but its now taking pictures but the shutter still doesn't go up all the way so when you take a picture it is only half of it. Do a bulb exposure or manual sensor cleaning (only kind on the mark II) and look at the sensor, is the sensor half covered of fully uncovered? Half illuminated could mean the shutter or the mirror but either way it needs to be repaired. Still sounds odd, 1D's can take hard knocks usually. flickr
