I'm very happy with the AF speed and image quality of the 7d, though as I've never used a 7d before the game I was fumbling a bit with controls. Kept turning on live view by accident. If you can stand the loss of some weather sealing and the separate grip, the two work together very well. For myself, I'm sticking with 1-series cameras, I just can't give up the build quality and sealing. Jack
