Hi all,

I am looking into getting my hands on a used 1DII or 1DIIN and was wondering how it fares at ISO 1600 and ISO3200?

Currently am using a 50D and already got the itch to try a 1-series!

Look back a few pages, some high ISO images were posted just recently.

So I'm looking at 1D2 prices. What do you guys thing?

$650- shows some wear around the bottom right corner (shutter button area) and has a few areas where paint is "chipped" or scraped, has bout 40,000 on the shutter. comes with everything and 2 batteries

$750- looks relatively good, a few stray scratches, unkown amount on original shutter actuations, but 5,500 on the new shutter. comes with everything and 1 battery.

The first one is certainly a better deal, but I've always been a fan of keeping my gear "pristine". For $100 more, I get a new shutter and a nicer body, but for $100 less I get an extra battery, and I save $100.

These two seem to be the best for sale right now. Thoughts?

You say they come with "everything"......make sure that includes the charger, because it is expensive if you have to buy it separate. That's a pretty darn good price on either I'd say....if you are sure the one really has a new shutter, that's the one I would go for. You can get a third party battery, like a lenmar for under $50.

The sellers were more specific with "everything", I just put that here to keep it short and simple. I wish the $750 one was $700. My initial budget was $600, which I'm stretching to $650. Then I saw that second one for $750.... One more paycheck, c'mon, just one more

spend $100 more for the one with the new shutter and extra battery, some of the accessories that you could get would cost over 100 more.

If its on craigslist the seller might be willing to drop down to 700.

Was wondering what's the prices of used 1D2Ns?
I see their around $1200 here on this forum but go for $1000 on amazon.com..

It fares beautifully in my opinion. I have quite a few high ISO shots a few pages back and I'll post a few more shortly.

The low end I've seen is around $800 with charger and battery and the high end is around $1200.

I got my 1DIIN relatively recently for $820 with 2 batts and a charger, strap and body cap.

For a 1DII beater those prices seem high, you can seemingly get them for $500-600 in user condition. Prices will be higher if they look good.
