Where did you get it from? The only ones I've seen thus far are from this forum or amazon.com.
Where else should I be looking at?

KEH.com and adorama

That's interesting Shawn. Someone else had posted to the forum about a month ago a similar story regarding a non-Canon charger in a purchase from them. I guess it would make sense for a person to ask them specifically about it when ordering.

I'm sure Helen will take care of you on it.

I've bought numerous used items from KEH and several items from Adorama, and in every case I have had a good experience with both of them.

I am planning to get one of these again.

I miss the AF... too bad the 5D2's AF sucks compared to a 1 series.

Come on back, Omaru!

I guess a 1Ds would also be a possibility for you if you don't also need the frame rate if you want to combine 1D focus with full frame.

Just a couple from the show I shot the other night. I've been having to do some serious recovery work on these...

I couldn't find any Exif data, what were the exposures there? I think they recovered quite nicely.

alright...here is, yet, another reason i will continue to do business with adorama! called them about the weak battery/third party charger they sent me with my mkII. within a couple minutes they reported that they will be sending out a genuine charger and third party battery...no additional charge. i asked if they need the old stuff back and they kindly replied...no. hopefully this will solve the problem and i will be in business. now if it only gets to my house before my next wedding on the 30th! my mk II will be used in conjunction with my 5Dc. will be nice to be shooting 2 bodies finally.

and did i mention: got this body for 649 and both cancount and photoshop are reporting 1488 actuations on the body! does anyone know if canon resets the shot count after a shutter replacement? wondering if this body has a new shutter or if its original. if original then the body is pretty worn for that low of a shot count. oh well...im sure i will get along just fine with this body.

Hmmm...when I bought my 1dmk2 from them some months ago I also got a 3rd party charger. I thought it was normal.

Ah, was it one from the used department? I think I saw a G or V condition MkII's for less than $600
