well i finally got my MK II on Monday. Picked her up for 649 with battery and charger from one of our favorite on line camera retailers.
may I ask who you purchased it from ?

That's interesting Shawn. Someone else had posted to the forum about a month ago a similar story regarding a non-Canon charger in a purchase from them. I guess it would make sense for a person to ask them specifically about it when ordering. regards, george w
