I'm still trying to locate a dead NP-E3 to repair my 3rd party battery latch but not coming up with much. Does anyone out there have one or know what Canon charges for one?

Thanks

ive had great luck with my Lenmar. I trust it as much as my other canon batteries...about to order another!

a few shots with my tokina 12-24 f4...shot around 15mm or so. friend just redid hardwood floors and kitchen.

Trying to learn better night sky shooting...the skies are tricky and I forgot my hat, so I had to stop when my ears felt like they were going to fall off. I'm going to have to go out and try again.

edit: after a little bit of research on stellarium I'm pretty sure the stars I have that seem sort of 'dipper' like is actually part of ursa major, all of which can be seen in this photo.

Lovely rich tonal quality in the deep blues/purples. In UK we call that the Plough, apparently it's the state flag of Alaska.

yep, that is the plough, known also as "the big dipper", but in the Graeco-Roman tradition its part of Ursa Major, the great bear. I outlined it here:

the orange leg is that color because I wanted to indicate that it attaches to a star that isn't visible in this picture because of the relative position to the bright horizon.

I just won an auction on eBay and will be proud owner of a 1D MKII which should arrive by Thursday. I look forward to taking it out next weekend.

200K is what it's rated for, some go quite a bit further
