5D Classic! I've been shooting a lot more glamour and portraiture than I used to, and it's what I'm going to be primarily focusing on. Plus, I wanted to get a few more MP outta my camera.

I love the build of my 1D2, so I will eventually purchase one again. I just can't afford to have two cameras at this time.

well it sounds like you made a good choice. although out of camera raw i am getting close to the 5d resolution by slightly upsizing. absolutely zero image degradation!

nicely done. i found that cs5 has breathed a bit of new life into the beast. iso 1600 images clean up rather nicely in camera raw. very excited about it.

Yes, and I am using LightRoom 3, and it too cleans up color noise nicely.

now lets see some shots with your 200 2.0 on the beast!

Will do....I'm going thru the weekend's show shots now, and some of them are from the 200 on the Mk2. I also have some shots from the combo over on the 200 f/2 thread.

Here's a shot with the IIn and 'EF' 10-22mm @ 12mm (15.6mm effective). Quite a bit of vignetting, but zooming in to around 14mm gets rid of this....

I like this. The long shutter time makes it look like a watercolor. Well done.

Does a 35mm f2 work well with a 1DII?

I've used the 35 mm f/2 on a 20D, 40D and finally my current 1DMKII and really enjoyed it. However, I recently bought a 28 mm f/1.8 USM and the wider focal length combined with USM focusing is perfect (for me)..

As I'm sure some of you know Tuscaloosa Al just got rocked by a tornado. I'm in Birmingham, which also got hit. This is a shot of the tornado as it passed the UAB campus.

This thing is huge. If you haven't heard already, It caused massive damage. As someone who took storm classes along with amateur radio classes as a child, I was fascinated by this storm. Seeing it materialize live on TV was an experience i will never forget.

I'm more afraid of Tornados, than earthquakes, even though you can pretty much tell ahead of time when a tornado will hit.

Ok, quick question, any idea how to gain way to the P.Fn with out FireWire? Apparently it can be done but no one is saying a method.
Or are people on the dpreview forum having me on.

I don't know, but I'd be interested in hearing this too. I finally managed to change my personal functions by connecting it via firewire to an XP laptop. The hard part was getting the right software when you don't have the disc!
