Alright here are some shots from the World of Outlaw race that I was at last night. These were all taken with the 1d mkII and my new 70-200 f4 L I also did some post using nix softwares color efx pro.

Brandon,
After your posted shots last week, and then again this week, I think we'll all agree, you're pretty dang good at capturing action ! Well done, for sure. Keep 'em coming !

Camera just got back from a sensor clean, it's been getting worse for a while now but now it's unbearable, I'll get some sample shots soon, away at the moment and only Internet I have is on my iPhone, not real brilliant. Just is getting to me, thinking dead sensor almost, it has 311,xxx shots on it but was serviced at 200,xxx, I'll get some sample shots up as soon as I can, may be the way I justify buying the MKIV

Oh boy. I rented a 5D2 for a wedding I shot today, and it really made me want one! I still love my 1D2, but that 5D2 is fantastic!

Oh yeah I know what you mean, I find a rocket blower is good enough most of the time, though.

A little help please....

I'm about to leave for Le Mans and thought that a little extra capacity would be in order so I've bought a couple of 8gb SDHC cards for my Mk11n. So far so good.

However, although the body recognises that the cards are installed it will not allow me to shoot with- or format them. I have version firmware v1.1.2 installed. Both cards work fine in a friend's Canon compact.

The manual is pretty useless and I can't find anything online that covers this so I'm hoping someone out there can help. Are there any settings, whether personal or custom that I'm overlooking and need to change or anything else I'm overlooking please? I've never used any SD cards on this body.

I'm starting to get very miffed with the whole thing right now so any help or suggestions will be very gratefully received.

Thank you.

Have you tried formatting them from your computer?

Yes, thanks. Have tried that and continue to get Card Error 2 message.

I've also tried using my friend's 4gb SDHC card and that won't work either.

Cheers.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong (which is highly likely). It is my understanding that the first four characters in the file names are camera specific and can not be changed. Or can they be changed with the utility and firewire?

You are correct Ron, the first four characters are camera specific and cannot be changed in the camera.

I had had an ISO issue with mine a while back last spring and it turned out to be a component on the board and not the sensor. I had had a Mack warranty at the time that covered the whole repair so I can't say how much a repair would cost but before jumping to conclusions lets see those sample shots of the problem ;)

Has anyone sent in their 1d lately for a cleaning? I want to send mine in, but am debating it still. I've heard ~$180 but wanted to see if anyone found it cheaper.
